Father Natures Ferret Rescue is a small, privately funded ferret shelter located in Wood Ridge, NJ. We provide adoption and rescue services for abandoned or ferrets on a space available basis. Ferret boarding may also be available on a limited basis.

All ferrets are adopted out with a temporary New Jersey permit and are current on a canine distemper and rabies vaccination.

North Arlington, NJ
Hudson Valley Ferret Rescue of NJ is a not-for-profit rescue run by mother (Lorri) and daughter (Karen). We work to find loving, responsible homes for our sweet little fuzzies! We make sure that each ferret is healthy and up-to-date on vaccinations.

We are registered with the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Division of Fish & Wildlife and have the proper permit (# PS 2012208) to do ferret adoptions. We are also a member of American Ferret Association (AFA), Support Our Shelters (S.O.S.), and MetroFerret.

Succasunna, NJ
Scales and Tails Rescue was founded in 2003, in northern New Jersey. It was originally an exotic pet rescue - a combination of reptiles and ferrets. We no longer have facilities to take in reptiles, so reptile work now consists of listing animals on PetFinder, processing applications, and then passing along good applicants to the animal's current owner.

Our primary focus is now ferrets. We generally find forever homes for 30 to 40 ferrets per year, and usually have around 40 ferrets in our care. We list our animals on PetFinder, and do numerous meet 'n greets in the area.

The rescue is located in a private home and is accessible by appointment only - every day of the week, evenings and weekends can usually be accommodated.

Kitty Angels is a no-kill shelter dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned cats, furnishing them with treatment for injuries or other health problems, and placing them into life-long, loving homes with compatible owners. We take all necessary steps to ensure the well-being of our cats, including screening for infectious diseases, spaying and neutering, and providing rabies, distemper and other necessary vaccinations. As a general policy, Kitty Angels sets no limits on the amount of veterinary care which it will provide to a sick or injured cat to return it to a state of good health prior to placing it in a good home.

We also believe in the importance of expanding the public's awareness for the need to neuter and vaccinate all pets. All of Kitty Angels' work is accomplished by a network of dedicated, unpaid volunteers whose common objective is to ameliorate the problems of the existing homeless feline population while simultaneously working towards reducing their future numbers through the combination of feline sterilization and public education. We serve the Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire areas.
